It almost looks like a stack of one pound coins, edge-on. Now I can't unsee that.

This design is growing on me. Due to its size and location, it would be a rather refreshing skyline changer.

I agree. This is a great location where it will stand out.

Indeed, there are three potential supertalls that we know of before 2020 which is super exciting!

Thank god they updated the design, this new version is 50 times better. Just after getting rid of some of that extra design features and rounding it up a bit. I did not like the original design at all but this is pretty good.

What are the other two potential supertalls?

Wolf point is short of being a supertall. I think it's 625 West Monroe that they are referring to. Or maybe the spire site owned by Rrelated?

Wolf point 950 feet design was a concept. It's entirely possible that it could be a supertall. 625 is dead.

Yes exactly

The other two I was referring to was Wolf Point (final height unknown but quite possibly north of 300 meters) and the Spire site (also hopefully north of 300 and more importantly, taller than AON and Wanda).

If a real boom picks up maybe more will arise. Chicago is a city of many supertall proposals, but only 4 (albeit tall) existing ones, if more can get built that'd be amazing.

Wanda Vista Condo Sales Center on Its Way to Lakeshore East
Wednesday, June 10, 2015, by AJ LaTrace

Quote:
It's been a minute since there's been any updates on the proposed Wanda Vista supertall tower for the Lakeshore East community, however, a newly issued renovation permit indicates that a sales center for the project's condominiums is on its way. According to the permit, the new sales center will be located at the nearby Coast at Lakeshore East and will span approximately 10,000 square feet in size. In addition to offices and a reception area, the center will include kitchen and bathroom models for perspective buyers to scope out. The center will also feature promotional materials for the project's hotel. Designed by Chicago's Studio Gang Architects, as proposed, the high profile tower will stand at 93 stories tall and is expected to cost its developers nearly $1 billion to build.
