The Imperial will still be blocked by Fort Canning hill, esp when its so short!
Marketing gimmick...I would say.

From Clemenceau Avenue: ![]() From Mohamed Sultan Road: ![]() From River Valley Road: ![]() Signboard: ![]() It is nearly topped out, it seems. It is not very tall, but it looks very dominating in its aera. Last edited by Pengui; June 25th, 2006 at 11:18 AM. Reason: Repairing broken links |

It surely dominates the area!
Its name is inspired by the former Imperial Hotel, which used to be on the same site I think. Thanks for updating on this one!

I don't think there have been shop houses here before as it is on the side of a hill... It is surrounded by a row of shophouse on one side, an indian temple on another side, and the rest is the hill :-)
Now that I think of it, it is not unlikely that 2 or 3 shophouses have been cleared to make way for the entrance of the building... Not sure, really ! |

The site was former Imperial Hotel. The Shophouses along River Valley Rd are still there.
