MISC | Spectacular and catastrophic derailments

While railway is rightly deemed to be one of the safest means of transportation, we must not forget that the potential for accidents still exists.

Here is the story of one of the most spectacular freight train transports and possibly one of the costliest derailments of recent years (no life loss, luckily):
Montana Rail Link train derails while carrying six Boeing 737 aircraft fuselages, all eventually scrapped:

Although the intention is not to create a "catastrophist" thread, I think many of you have similar news to share!

If you want compatibility with standards and security, why do you recomend firefox and not Opera?

The only truly secure system is one that is powered off, cast in a block of concrete and sealed in a lead-lined room with armed guards - and even then I have my doubts. Gene Spafford.
I am Basque, not Russian, the "Siberia" thing is a joke.

Many thanks. It’s not very often that one reads about plane fuselages falling off a train!
