These buildings are incredibly thin for how tall they will end up being. It's amazing what they can do with concrete!

The buildings turned out thinner than I expected. Lets hope the cladding's good! Surely a landmark for Singapore.

I like how it looks so wide and smooth from one angle, and suddenly becomes sharp and flat at the next....truly like a sculpture...the next thing is to wait for the cladding

It's rising very fast compared to One Raffles Quay, which took 1yr or so just to do the foundations.

the foundations of ORQ were complicated by the fact that the MRT tunnel ran right beneath it

if MRT tunnel is right underneath ORQ, who owns the plot of ORQ then? or is land title in Singapore restricted to anything on grade and above only?
btw, is there still an ORQ construction thread active?

I love the building. The only problem is that it's leasehold at 99 years.

The owners of ORQ own the plot of land ORQ sits on.

As for the subterranean space taken by up by MRT tunnels, they would usually be owned by the State, and underground station boxes are owned by the Land Transport Authority (a government statutory board).

Private developers are still able to own subterranean spaces, for basements and underground spaces. Ownership doesnt have to be limited to at-grade and above only.

This skyline is going to look amazing upon completion of the projects in Marina Bay. As if it doesn't already and as if you all already didn't know.. just thought I would chime in. The contrast of colors is very pleasing.
