Perhaps it would also be a good idea to integrate the (future) "Randstadspoor" lines into this map?

Utrecht selects tram contractors
02 Dec 2014

NETHERLANDS: The Executive Board of Greater Utrecht Authority selected contractors on December 1 to supply the infrastructure and rolling stock for the Uithof extension of the city’s sneltram network. Once approved by the full board, the contracts would be signed on December 23 after the usual standstill period.

Royal BAM Group has been selected to undertake the infrastructure work, including construction of the track, electrification and stops. Following a period for preparatory work and engineering, the main construction work is expected to begin in late 2015 or early 2016. The substructure for the route is almost complete, with civil works having started in 2011.

CAF is to supply 27 low-floor vehicles of around 32 m in length, the first of which is to be delivered to the existing Nieuwegein sneltram depot in January 2017.

Now expected to open in mid-2018, the 7·5 km, nine-stop line will connect Utrecht Centraal station with the university and hospital complex at De Uithof. The total cost of the project is put at €440m

Euhh, no, the Budapest tram looks like the tram in another Dutch city, Amsterdam:

Which isn't strange, since the tram in Amsterdam is the Combino, and the tram in Budapest is the Combino Supra.

Budapest Combino has 6 coaches (not 5) and has 53,9 m length. Also there are Combino in Melbourne (3 or 5 coaches)

As of this week Utrecht has a brand new Bus+Tram+Train map

I was commissioned to build it a few months ago and I'm happy to see it live

Main features:

- Historic Center and De Uithof are geographic, the rest of the map is schematized but topologically accurate

- Bus frequency: high frequency-thick line / low frequency-thin line

- Services are grouped by color according to their nature or charachteristics:

Train line (Blue)

Tram lines (Yellow)

Bus lines terminating at Utrecht Centraal Station (green)

Bus lines going through the city center (Purple)

Bus lines serving De Uithof Campus (Orange)

Tangent bus lines (brown)

Local bus line (pink)

- All angles are multiples of 30° which roughly corresponds to the urban layout and main street, rail and canal orientations.

- In addition there are some nice landmark icons and main waterways to help you orientate.

Utrecht to rebuild fast tram line
Friday, October 28, 2016

THE Dutch province of Utrecht announced on October 28 that it has made a preliminary decision to convert Utrecht’s Nieuwegein/IJsselstein Fast Tram (SUNIJ) to a conventional light rail line by 2020, modernising infrastructure and replacing the ageing tram fleet with new low-floor LRVs

The work will make SUNIJ compatible with the new Uithof Line from Utrecht Central Station with the University Campus, which is due to open in 2018. The two lines will meet at Utrecht Central

As far as I know the Sneltram uses currently high-floor vehicles and high platforms. Will the line to Ijsselstein be changed to a low floor system?
