Another airline that goes for 9 abreast, that's 8 out of 10 airlines if you only look at the ANA long haul configured 787s.

That looks like Business Class for the latter two pics. Is there a First Class cabin too for CZ's B787s, or will it just be two classes on board? And I suspect that the Business Class cabin will have lie-flat seating as well (note the ottomans).

There was this picture too, I thought it was just another picture of the business class but it's one of the 4 1st class seats.

Wow, that's really nice... That's just a lie-flat seat with wood trim, a more angled seat design, and a lot of windows... Plus the pitch seems to be larger than that of the Business Class cabin. I'm surprised that it didn't go for a Suite feature (either open or closed).

EMC yesterday:

http://kpae.blogspot.com/2013/06/pai...ld-june-1.html
G-TUID, ET-AOO, VT-ANA(?), ANA NTU (LN22 or on of terrible teens), LN17 (CN-RGB),
left side: JA822A, JA821A (or ANA NTU frame)

JA820A is fixed and sitting on the flightline, so one or even two (if JA821A is fixed and sit elsewhere) of ANA's NTU early frames are now in EMC.

moonm uploaded photo of nearly (or) complete VT-ANE, http://www.flickr.com/photos/moonm/8874128894/ but Uresh (nyc787.blogspot.com) said, this was only temporarily. If VT-ANE is completed, so next frame was rolled inside EMC (probably VT-ANA or one of RAM NTU CN-RGB or CN-RGC), but I think this was VT-ANA, Air India's 787 at the pic isn't mothballed, so this can be VT-ANE under final polishing or VT-ANG undergoin battery fix.

The undelivered frames that still need a battery modification does cloud the big picture of what is going on at the EMC right now.

I wonder why they even decided to add the 1st class in the 787. They could have added 9 economy class and 6 business class seats instead, which would have made them more money then just 4 1st class seats.

CZ also has 4 First Class seats too on its A330s (both the -200 and -300 variants). Perhaps it is competing against Air China which also has First Class seating on its long-haul aircraft as well... Sure, it could instead have an extra row each of Economy Class and Business Class, but I believe that it is modeled after Air France which hosts a small, intimate First Class cabin on its B777s.

Yep, I know. I meant pre-LN66 frames, which are currently in EMC. ET-AOO completed change incorporation, now under battery fix. JA822A, G-TUID are under battery fix too. I'm curious of others frames - Air India's and 2 of 3 ANA's which are at the photo. Inside EMC are (for sure) LN20 JA821J, VT-ANB, VT-ANC, B-2726. The 5th spot is occupied by VT-ANE (if was rolled out only temporarily) or VT-ANA. One of 2 of RAM's NTU frames is probably sitting on tower apron.

Looks like normal 788 asembly. Should go smooth.

June should be really good month for 787. Boeing could be able to deliver 15 or even more frames.

Source of the pictures:

another one from the front.

The pictures show that they still use the MOATT, "Mother Of All Tool Towers" to join the fuselage sections. Boeing is currently replacing them on the main assembly line by more regular methods like using normal cranes. This is the reason why there's a little delay for the loading of the next 787-8 on the main line.

So far so good on the assembly line. 15 deliveries this month would be great for Boeing. That would clear up a lot of space around the airport for new planes.

all planes which are under FA now, will get battery fix before rolling out. This will be normal production process, like installing old battery.

In other words, the new battery design is now part of the standard 787 assembly process.

Talking about batteries, the 1st "battery problem" after the end of the ground has happened on a JAL plane.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-0...ttery-box.html

The issue was that a sensor indicated that one of the cells was overheating. But it was only because of a bit of tape that wasn't removed triggered the sensor, there was nothing wrong with the batteries.
