There are still 16 planes that are undergoing or still have undergo the modification process, it could take until 2015 before all are ready for delivery.

RAM was supposed to get 2 of those early birds. But after all the delays RAM and Boeing agreed a new schedule where RAM will take delivery of their 1st 787 in late 2014, this one will be a newly build that is completely up to specification or even better.

The 787 in the picture will be sold to another airline. There are several that have said that they want to take these early birds, for a reduced price of course. It could go to Transaero, Lionair or Rwandair when the rework in the modification center is completed.
Oh ok thanks for the explanations

So it's a good deal.

Did you know what will be the configuration of the cabin ? and the total capacity in term of passengers ?

There's no info on the cabin configuration yet. But going from the the current 767s, with a 2 class lay-out it could be very similar to the Air India and Ethiopian 787s. Then you look at at a capacity of 260~270 seats, maybe up to 280 if they keep the business class as small as in the 767s.

Searching for this on the internet revealed that they are currently revamping the interiors of the 747 and the 767s, I also see that this was long overdue. If the 787 wasn't delayed they could have made a double improvement, a brand new plane and an extreme update of the cabin product. But you could also say that it's a bit of a warm up for the arrival of the 787.

Delivery stats after the last 2 deliveries in June.

BA: 2
Norwegian: 1
June: 9
2013: 17
total: 66

Norwegian is the 12th airline to take delivery of a 787.

The China Southern deliveries that were also scheduled to take place last week are now scheduled to take place early this month, with the 1st one this week, the 2nd one soon after the 1st. This will also trigger the 1st delivery to Hainan. We could see up to 4 deliveries in the 1st half of the month.

There was also some news about the number of 787s that United has on order.

http://www.flightglobal.com/news/art...-order-387829/

The were behind 2 undisclosed orders in 2012, and with their most recent order and conversion for the 787-10 they now have the following 787s on order.

-8: 21 (27 total)
-9: 18
-10: 20

65 in total, 59 still to be delivered. This means that the 10 conversion for the -10 all come from the -8, even though one article mentioned wrongly that these came from the -9.

The official monthly order update will probably come this Thursday, there could be some more updates/changes. There's still an order from an Unidentified Customer from 2008 for 2 -8s and 13 -9s. It would be interesting to see who's behind that one.

Rumor says about China Southern taking delivery of 2nd Dreamliner (1st from CHS) before Independence Day (4th July), Hainan should follow soon (1 or 2 days later).

LN14 ZA803 (ANA's NTU ZA503) is now undergoing change incorporation/re-work.

LN36 ZA381 B-2726 for China Southern has been rolled to paint hangar. This frame could be delivered before LN43 B-2727 and LN93 B-2732. LN93 is still unpainted, maybe Boeing will ferry this frame do PDX or FTW for painting.

Also interesting is LN79, which still is unpainted and stored without engines.

This one looks like longer storage. No battery fix, no engines, no paint. Delivery will be after 3 frames from CHS and LN73 in Everett, or even later, after LN131.

Situation in CHS and PAE is still messy, 10 frames are waiting for deliveries only for Chinese carriers, with next 2 (LN79 in storage and LN119 will be next rolled out from CHS' FAL).
2 frames for Air India are sitting on the flightlines too, I don't think these will be delivered anytime soon. Delays with Air India's 787s are standard scenario. 2 frames from EMC will be sitting in PAE even longer.

I thought Boeing will rush test flights of others frames, but pace looks like regular test flights program before battery issue in January.

//
LN95 ZA384 B-2733 from CHS delivered! Will fly to CAN as CSN733 (CHS-BFI-CAN) today:

http://www.airliners.net/aviation-fo...n/5797732/#152

I'm curious why they don't fly directly CHS-CAN, B787 range is enough for that route.

Not sure if someone already posted this before.
Found this awesome tracking website today. It allows for 360-degree views of all 787 flights, as well as lists of current customer airlines, flight numbers, flight schedules and direct booking. It's the fruit of collaboration between Boeing and Google.

Check it out here: http://http://www.newairplane.com/787/dreamliner-live/

Awesome, isn't it?

ANA adds a 2nd lay-out to it's long haul 787s.

It's a 3 class version with 169 seats, 46 in business class, 21 in premium economy and 102 in economy. They currently operate a 2 class version with 158 seats, (46 Business, 112 economy). This means that the 3 class 787 has more seats then the 2 class 787, and that is possible because ANA will also go 9 abreast in economy. The premium economy will be 7 abreast, the business class will remain the same.

So this means that JAL will be the only airline that will have it's whole (international) fleet with 8-abreast. I guess that ANA simply reacts to all the other airlines that opted for the 9-abreast that has become the standard lay-out on the 787.

The will also change the flight to Munich from the 77W to the 787 from September.
