After long time (since January) LN43 ZA382 B-2727 scheduled for test flight. Looks like full B-1 pattern.

LN36 ZA381 B-2726 flew B2 earlier today. Maybe China Southern will take delivery of these 2 frames next months, activity suggests approaching deliveries.

Not being a dick (this time). If you read the comments underneath most Boeing 787 stories posted online by Seattle area news outlets, you will see the reason for my sarcasm. The employees in South Carolina are labeled as bare-footed, inbred, burger-flippers, welfare cases, hicks, illiterate, etc etc etc, and that Boeing's decision to locate a plant in SC means they don't care about quality. So again, it's ironic that so many quality issues are coming from Everett built planes.

Boeing to base 787 technicians in Oslo to address Norwegian Air Shuttle issues

Boeing has agreed to base a team of 787 Dreamliner technicians in Oslo following a troubleshooting meeting with Norwegian Air Shuttle. The US manufacturer also said it will set up more spare parts centers to address any further problems that might arise.

The Boeing team, which included Commercial Airplanes president and CEO Ray Conner, was summoned to the Norwegian capital by the low-cost carrier to discuss reliability issues that have overshadowed the entry into service of the carrier’s first two of eight new 787s.

Norwegian CEO Bjørn Kjos told reporters: “It was a positive discussion. They agreed to put up spare part stocks at designations we fly to and they’ll send a dedicated team of experts to Norwegian so if there’s a problem popping up, they can immediately solve it.”

A Boeing spokesman said: “How the 787 performs in service for our customers is paramount for the entire Boeing team. Any impact to our customers’ operations is not satisfactory. Our focus is working in partnership with Norwegian to address the 787 issues it is experiencing.”

Although compensation was not discussed at the meeting, Kjos indicated the issue is not closed.

“Most important is to have the aircraft running before we know the cost, that’s at a later stage,” he said.

Norwegian has had to ground the new aircraft, the first of which was delivered in late June, several times over recent weeks, causing unacceptable disruption and delay for passengers. One of the two aircraft was again grounded earlier Friday by a hydraulic pump failure in Bangkok, according to a Reuters report.

I think right now 787 operations are like the 747-100 operations circa 1970-1973--a good number of teething troubles because it's such a radically new airplane type for airlines to operate for its time.

People forget that Boeing and Pratt & Whitney didn't resolve the problems with the front fan blades on the JT9D engines until 1972 or so.

Isn´t this "air identification system" mentioned below the same gizmo which caused the fire on that Ethiopian 787 at Heathrow Airport?

Quote:
LOT Dreamliner forced to land in Iceland after system fails

WARSAW | Sun Sep 29, 2013

(Reuters) - A Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by Poland's LOT airline had to land unexpectedly in Iceland on Sunday due to a fault in its air identification system, a spokeswoman for the airline said on Sunday.

The plane was flying from Toronto to Warsaw when it was forced to land at the island's Keflavik airport.

"The aircraft had to land due to an air identification system fault. The Norwegian authorities have refused permission to fly over its territory, even though other countries gave permission to fly over theirs," Barbara Pijanowska-Kuras said.

The Dreamliner was expected to be a game-changer for the aviation industry, but there have been delays getting it into service and setbacks including the grounding of all the planes due to battery problems.

Budget airline Norwegian Air Shuttle on Saturday took one of its brand new Dreamliners out of long-haul service and demanded that Boeing repair the plane after it suffered repeated breakdowns.

For state-owned LOT, which has struggled for years with huge operating losses, the incident adds to a list of problems with the Dreamliners. Last week it had had to delay flights after check-ups showed two planes lacked gas filters.

LOT is demanding from Boeing compensation for lost revenue and has given Boeing time until the end of the year to settle on compensation over faults or face court action.

Pijanowska-Kuras said that LOT had sent two planes to get the Dreamliner passengers to Poland, while Boeing's service company will be working to solve the issue so that the Dreamliner could be taken to Poland "as soon as possible".

She said it is too early to say whether the unexpected landing in Iceland would be added to LOT's list of claims from Boeing.

NO , in etiopian 787 it was about ELT emergency locator transmitter, today is about ATC mode

Yesterday the CC-BBD LAN also flew out, that leaves only the Hainan bird to actually fly out of the 3 deliveries on Saturday.

We might see some more today since it's the last day of the month.

A7-BCF and LAN CC-BBE from CHS should be delivered today.
This week we can see also deliveries for Qantas VH-VKA, V8-DLA for Royal Brunei. Possibly VT-ANO for Air India and B-2736 for China Southern. Charleston flightline might be loosened up. Boeing is flying B-2726 in PAE, 3 test flight since today, so plane is ready for C flight.

Do you mean Jetstar. Qantas doesn't have any 787s ready for delivery. Only Jetstar. That would be cool if Boeing could manage to get all those delivered today.

Even though the aircraft is destined for JQ, the aircraft come under QF. Both AJ & JQ CEO will be at Boeing to accept their very first B787 Dreamliner. I really hope the recent on going issues don't roll onto JQ.
