JAL old livery on 787 was way better. And the Air India livery is just horrid.

That's something that's very comparable to other airlines, maybe not in the 1st place the number of issues but the trend should also be seen at other airlines by now. Maybe not Norwegian since they are only starting, but there to it should improve in the next month.
I see, at least JAL is more honest.

What ANA concerns, they don't include the aircraft going tech and replace them with one of the 5 on stand-by.

LN5 ZA005 N787FT on the flightline in PAE.
It looks like this is the end of test frame life. Boeing's workers are dismantling test equipment. ZA005 probably will fly to San Antonio for re-work into BBJ aircraft.

Spain's Air Europa to exercise option to buy 8 Dreamliners

MADRID, Oct 12 (Reuters) - Spanish airline Air Europa plans to exercise an option to acquire eight Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, a spokesman for the company said, confirming an earlier report in financial newspaper El Economista.

"These planes will reach us from 2020," the spokesman said.

The planned acquisition follows Air Europa's order for eight new Boeing 737s in the week through to Sept. 24.

Air Europa's buying streak forms part of a strong expansion drive in to medium- and long-haul routes left by the rival airline Iberia .

In the first nine months of 2013, Air Europa carried some 10.5 million passengers, around 450,000 more than Iberia, according to airport operator Aena.

With the delivery to Qatar Airways the flightline in Charleston is down to 6 787s, although 1 is still inside where Qatar airways inspecting the plane.

Out on the flightline Boeing took the next one for it's 1st flight:

LN125 ZA187 JA833J Japan Airlines
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE187

And of course good news to see some orders, although it will only be official when it's actually firmed up of course. But this should make it certain that the 1,000 orders will be reached before the end of the year.

Air Europa (future order if they firm it up) will join twelve 787-8s they have ordered. Looking at their former destinations list it looks like the 787-9s could reopen some of those long haul routes they have closed (PEK,MIA,GIG,MEX just a few). The 787-8s have TBD on when they will be delivered. Does anyone know when the 787-8s will be delivered? Great to news for Boeing after losing JAL's order.

Out on the flightline Boeing took the next one for it's 1st flight:

LN125 ZA187 JA833J Japan Airlines
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE187
And
LN124 ZA292 N27908 for United back from FTW painted. Will be delivered this month, probably.
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/B...930Z/KFTW/KCHS
LN125 ZA187 JA833J will fly to FTW for painting soon, and there is possibility of delivery this month too. JAL can take 2 frames at once (1 from Everett, 1 from Charleston).

These frames can be delivered this month:
LN20 ZA175 JA821 for JAL
LN32 ZA235 VT-ANG for Air India, but I don't believe in that one.
LN36 ZA381 B-2726 for China Southern
LN112 ZA562 N964AM for Aeromexico
LN124 ZA292 N27908 for United
LN125 ZA187 JA833J for JAL
LN127 ZA563 N965AM for Aeromexico
LN130 ZA446 V8-DLB for Royal Brunei

6 delivered, and 8 possibly. LN104 for China Southern can be ready in time too, but I don't think so they will take 4 frames in one month. Same with Hainan's LN85. November, maybe with LN119.

It could still be delivered this month. The 1st one had it's first flight on 14 Sep. and was contractually delivered on the last day of September. So if the 2nd will have it's 1st flight in the next 3 days it could still be delivered in October, otherwise it will be November.

They are also expecting the 3rd one this year, but that will be tight schedule since that one is still in assembly. It should roll out in the 1st half of November, so it's doable. Although the last couple of month the average between roll-out and delivery was longer then 2 months, but that was mostly because of the large delivery backlog after the grounding. That should go faster by now, the 1st delivered to Brunei was just under 1.5 months after roll-out.

Is there any news about the 787 from Qatar that was stranded in Copenhagen since Wednesday.

The only source i have is from Friday and is only posted in Danish.

The problem should be a broken windshield.

It looks like if flew back to Doha on the 12th and is back in service. A7-BCK was the plane.
