LN160 ZA610 C-GHPQ 1st 787 for Air Canada. Behind are:
LN162 ZA218 VH-VKE for Qantas
LN165 ZA651 EI-LNE for Norwegian
LN167 ZA266 ET-AOU for Ethiopian

source: http://kpae.blogspot.com/2014/02/pai...ebruary-4.html

The early frame outside EMC is LN11. This frame will be 1st 787 for Transaero. I wonder why it has been moved outside, work is far away from be completed, and there aren't any frames which have to be moved inside now. Maybe they are switching planes positions inside, maybe ZB197 789 for ANA will be moved outside soon. LN28 ZA233 VT-ANC for Air India should be soon on move too, if they are planning to deliver it this month or early March.

Boeing had delivered the LN149 ZA778 HZ-MF7 BBJ/Saudi Ministry of Finance.

Quote:
Boeing Business Jets Delivers First Two BBJ 787-8s of 2014

Deliveries are first of five BBJ 787 Dreamliners scheduled this year

SEATTLE, Feb. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] Business Jets (BBJ) celebrated the first two BBJ 787-8 deliveries of 2014. The deliveries, made over the past week to separate undisclosed customers, mark the second and third BBJ 787 airplanes delivered to date.

"It's terrific to see two BBJ 787s deliver within a week," said Capt. Steve Taylor, president, Boeing Business Jets. "The BBJ 787 joins the BBJ family, a full line of the most capable airplanes in the VIP market. The 787's combination of phenomenal range, high cruise speed, low cabin altitude, big windows and ultra-quiet cabin make the 787 ideal for BBJ customers."

As awe-inspiring as its commercial counterpart, the BBJ 787 takes advantage of technological advances such as lightweight composite structures and a cabin environment designed for new heights in passenger comfort. It also features increased head room, cleaner air, enormous cargo space and breakthrough fuel efficiency. The BBJ 787-8 has a range of about 9,260 nautical miles (17,150 km).

"2014 will be a very exciting year for BBJ with many major milestones to celebrate," Taylor said. "In addition to the deliveries of three more BBJ 787-8s, the first BBJ 747-8 we delivered last year will enter into service with its completed custom interior later in the year."

The first BBJ 787-8 was delivered in December 2013. To date, customers have ordered 13 BBJ 787s, with deliveries occuring through 2018.

Boeing Business Jets delivers the airplanes to customers unpainted and without an interior. A completion center of the customer's choosing installs the jet's VIP interior.

Air Canada's 1st 787 LN160 ZA610 C-GHPQ outside EMC (first from right). Line up of frames outside EMC brings back memories from previous years!

1 delivery for ANA today, according to All things 787 it's the LN147 ZA124 JA827A
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/ANA9399

LN25 ZA230 VT-ANA Air India will be feried from Everett to Charleston today. I have no idea why this is.
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE230

Both yesterday's and today's deliveries were contractually delivered this month. According to the updated orders and deliveries pages on Boeing website there were only 4 deliveries in January.
http://active.boeing.com/commercial/orders/index.cfm

There were no big changes to the orders in January, the Lion Air order is still showing and Air Berlin still hasn't converted their order into the 787-9. The only change is that 2 of the previous unidentified orders for the 787-8 have now been moved to the BBJ/VIP orders. This one was placed on the same day as the still unidentified order for 13 787-9s, this means that it's not 1 order after all.

Probably for delivery. LN29 ZA234 VT-AND and LN35 ZA236 VT-ANH were delivered through Charleston too. LN158 ZA244 VT-ANP is next to be rolled out from CHS' FAL, so probably Air India's people and crew are there for customer checks. So Boeing will ferry VT-ANA there and they will take delivery.

This image has raised eyebrows and I need to ask 1st B787 for mainline (I doubt it) or QF Group - JQ?

Boeings orderbook lists the orders as Qantas, but they are delivered to Jetstar. Previous banners on the planes inside the factory said Jetstar but also had the Qantas logo.

The text in the darkblue probably says "Proudly Building the fourth 787 Dreamliner for Jetstar and Qantas".

in other news:

The LN148 ZA516 JA825A ANA has also been delivered and fly out today (Friday).

Another one rolled out of the factory yesterday.

LN161 ZA275 SP-LRF LOT Polish Airlines

http://kpae.blogspot.com

This was the 1st 787 that was loaded into the FAL in 2014 on January 3rd. It takes just over a month for a 787 on the assembly line to roll out. Even with the problems with the middle sections from Charleston it's still clearly going faster.

It's still unclear what LOT will do with this plane. It could still go to Turkish Airlines, but it's also a possibility that it will go to LOT to be used for charter flights.

And behind the SP-LRF are:
LN163 ZA565 N967AM ILFC/Aeromexico
LN166 ZA448 V8-DLD Royal Brunei Airlines
LN169 ZB003 ZK-NZE 787-9 Air New Zealand (you can clearly see that it's longer)
LN171 ZA437 Hainan Airlines (in the back with the vertical stabilizer)

And it will be followed by LN174 ZA612 C-GHPU Air Canada, the next 787 that will be loaded into the 40-26.

Is CFRP naturally white or is that a base colour?

It's a base color, the CFRP has a light brown/green/beige color.

It's the 3rd 787-9 for Air New Zealand that will come out of the factory, but since the 1st 2 are the prototypes that are now used for certification test flights it's actually the 1st one that will be delivered.
