Definitely most unique, think I still like Qatar and KLM's better, but it does look cool and is really distinctive.

The Air New Zealand is indeed a very nice livery.. You wil not see at night.. But i agree with Benn, I think that the KLM colours will look beautifull on the B787..

United first 787-9 has exited the factory and moved to the paint hangers and has remained concealed. So we have one week till it reappears with full paint job.

The 4th 787-9 has made it's 1st flight.

LN146 ZB197 JA830A, N1792B 787-9 ANA
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE197

No pictures yet.

It will join the flight test program as the 1st production 787-9 and should make a lot of flying hours the next 2 months. The certification is still expected to happen in June with more then 500 flying hours still to be performed. The 2 production 787-9s that will be part of the test program (this one and the one for United that just rolled out) will be responsible for the biggest part of these 500 hours. They will be doing the ETOPS test flights, expect several 10 hour plus flights.

Also a B-1 flight for:

LN165 ZA651 EI-LNE Norwegian
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BOE651

Well, thats personal I think. 8/10 would choose NZ's as you didn't allready noticed it.

But yeah, part of the company it really is, thinking KL are the best.

I will not say that KLM is the best, there colours would look very nice on the B787.. But I also like the ANZ colours on the B787.. And I hope in the future that there will be more nice liveries on the B787..

Do you have any idea what Air New Zealand's ZK-NZE's role will be in the production/certification process as I assume this aircraft will be involved as well.

It's roll is to be delivered as soon as possible after the certification is completed.

The ANA 787-9 is also already the RR powered plane which is needed for certification, the United is the GE powered plane. There's no need for a 2nd RR powered production 787 to complete the certification.

Is ANA going to keep the "Inspiration of Japan" as part of the standard livery? It's also in the 777X render. It was nice when it first came out, but it's getting cheesy.
