Unfortunately that livery will never fly. Avianca change it's livery last year to this one ;

I am sorry to disillusion them but it will not be like that,
Avianca changed his livery one year ago. This is how we´ll see Avianca´s 787. But you have reason, if Avianca had not changed his livery, it will be the best in the 787.

Unfortunately an airline (QF) in desperate need of the B787 haven't switched their options into firm orders

They cancelled their earlier order for financial reasons. Now the financials are even worse then at the time of cancellation it's not that surprising that they have yet to re-order the options they still have.

I really hope the options materialise otherwise I don't see QF operating any international routes beyond 2020. The international network continues to be cutback & absorbed by EK. The last remaining B744's will eventually be retired in 2020-2022 with no replacement in sight.

LN170 ZA611 C-GHPT in the Fuel Dock. This is 2nd frame built for Air Canada and it could be first delivered. LN160 ZA610 C-GHPQ is inside EMC now, still not ready to fly.

LN182 ZA334 PH-TFK 1st frame for Arke on the 40-51 ramp (2nd plane is LN179 ZA136 for ANA). This is 2nd frame moved to ramp instead EMC.

I think the -8s and -9s aren't really the best fit for Qantas. The whole dream of using 787s to fly to everywhere from each of the capital cities is admirable, but unrealistic. The -10 should work out better for QF.

Personally the B748i for LAX, DFW, LHR, JNB, SCL whilst the B787-10 / B788 for the Asian network.

The 788 would be good for Asia, smaller than the 332, but bigger and fly further than the 738
Which would hopefully bring more routes and make them more profitable.

I think it's pathetic they've sent them to JQ, such great new beautiful planes and they go to them!

Uresh did a small update to the "Current 787 Production List" on his blog.
http://nyc787.blogspot.com/

LN201: 1st 787-8 for Xiamen Airlines
LN202: 2nd 787-9 for ANA
LN203: 787-8 for ANA
LN204: 4th 787-8 for Kenya Airways

The Xiamen Airlines 787 will be loaded into assembly late next week.

ZB002 is on it's way to Reykjavik.

Usually they go Iceland for crosswind landing testing.

Here's a video from 2010 when they did this kind of tests with the 787-8.

It's unfortunate that there are very few airplane enthusiasts around the Charleston, SC Boeing facility. Pics from that plant is near zero. Unless of course somebody has a link where it's upgraded frequently…..

It's VERY hard to get good pictures here at CHS. They have trees obstructing the view of the flightline from the road, and the facility is adjacent to the airport, which is also a US Air Force base. The security staff stationed at the Delivery Center don't like you to get out of your vehicle to snap pictures either. I'll try and post the pics I do take more often, but keep in mind I'm taking them with my iphone in a moving vehicle :-)
