Kenya doesnt even crack my top 5 787 liveries. It comes somewhere after Etihad, Azerbaijan, ANA, Air Canada, and Hainan.

It is one of those stored or a new device taken out of the lines of assemblies?

LN248 ZA152 CN-RGB
New one. Previous two won't be delivered to RAM, they were rejected and will be delivered to different customer in 2016. Both are still in storage on RWY11-29.
These 2 rejected frames are LN17 and LN19 and were rolled out from factory in first half 2010.

Avianca B787-8 (reg. N781AV) -- the airline's second B787

I truly hope that with more B787s, Avianca could launch new routes to North America, including Los Angeles and San Francisco, to expand its reach from Bogota.

Is it still airworthy? Why would they do that?

It did fly a couple of weeks ago, so it's still airworthy.

They didn't have any use for it anymore, there are other early 787s available for testflights. They also can't sell it since even with modifications it would be too different from the production 787s. Even for a VIP customer it would mean that the costs of maintenance would be too high as key spare parts will not be readily available.

In other words, it's only worth the scrap metal plastic, they don't really loose any more money by donating it to the museum.

ps. There are 2 more prototypes in permanent storage, they will likely be scraped at some point unless another museum also want one. They won't be airworthy anymore though since they have been stripped of their engines, so they can only be transported by land to their final destination.

LN3 was sitting without engines in KMWH for 2 years. LN1 and LN2 can be made airworthy in no time, both will end in museums - LN2 in Japan, LN1 in USA.

Does someone knows what is UP with Avianca delivery dates? They have pushed them like 5 times. N780AV was supposed to be delivered on sept 26, and now the delivery date is set for some day in december...what is going on with those frames?

Some is wrong with the first class seats. The FAA hasn't certified them for flight so that is pushing back the delivery dates until Avanica can fix that problem or the FAA allows them to be delivered and get them certified before flying them to the USA. that is what i read on an article on Airliners.net

So Avianca's B787s will have a tri-class cabin, with F, J, and Y seating... are the seats on both F and J class full lie-flat seating? (e.g. 180-degree bed)
