patel2897, still not on production list what means that their first 789 won't be build till March 2016.
At least that is- who knows how they are going to be integrated within the various Etihad equity group aircraft on order.

A6-BLB and N802AN are in the Fuel Dock - probably last preparations for first flights.

But deliveries and testing are going much too slow. Only 8 deliveries in January, backlog is rising again. Boeing really need to fly frames and deliver them much faster if they want 787 production to be profitable.

Also Korean VIP LN11 was moved on the flight line to stall vacated by Ethiopian.

I will do that. Should fly as BOE841 when it files a flight plan.

Boeing pushed a bunch of deliveries at the end of last year so that cleared the assembly line and flight line and plus they had a two week vacation around the holidays so that stopped work. So now they are in catch up phase and the weather around Seattle and Charleston to a less extent this time of year does not help either. With the weather warming up over the next month we will see more and more deliveries happen.

No, they didn't cleared anything. Backlog for now is around 15 frames.

Look at 777 production table. Delivery within a 30-40 days since roll out from FAL. In fact, frames like LN271 JA840J for JAL and LN272 9V-OJB should be already after first flights.

Boeing also delivered just 5 777s in January instead of the normal 7 to 9 deliveries. It's also because of the slowdown in work around Christmas that January always has less deliveries, even on mature programs like the 777. The 18 deliveries in December also was an extraordinary high number, it's impossible to keep that up for several months on end.

This month will be better, there are already 8 that have made 2 or more flights. Some of them left over deliveries from January of course, several will already fly home over the next couple of days. It's likely that this month will see a delivery total up to 15 planes.

It's also better if Boeing doesn't rush clearing the back-log, all the rushing has caused too many problems in the past. Now they should slowly work on maturing the production and deliveries in order to make it all go more smoothly and turn the production profitable on a unit basis at the end of the year.

Undergoing re-work, nice. Delivery is scheduled for August, so it will take 6 months to re-work of this test frame. Pretty quick as for 1st test frame of type.

I would like to thank all the contributors here but primarily Piotr and Woddy for posting up-to-date 787 updates.
This forum is a hidden gem for anyone interested in modern aviation and new aircraft entering service.
