Thanks! After 5 years it finally flew.

We should see LN14 in airline livery, not full white. We will see in 2 months.

LN11 was rolled out from FAL in January 2010 (over 5 years ago). LN15 load date suggest that it was on 17th or 18th January 2010.

Nose section of LN11 during assembly at Spirit Aerosystems in September 2009:

After roll out it was painted in ANA's regular livery with registration JA804A. It was in fact 2nd 788 for ANA with that reg during that time, as LN8 ZA101 had the same reg (later re-registered as JA801A). On move from paint hanger, 5th February 2010:

JA804A by kpaekilo1, on Flickr

As certification was faaaaaar away from being completed, plane was mothballed and stored in PAE. During 3,5 years it changed positions many times, had some work done (as side of body modification and who know what else), but before being moved to EMC for re-work/change incorporation in July 2013, it sitted on RWY11-29 with many sisters...

Outside the EMC, July 2010:

Inside the EMC, May 2014:

August 2014:

As frame was picked up by Korean Air as VIP jet, engine type had to be changed from RR Trent-1000 to GEnx-1B. Of course, frame didn't have engines, but pylons needed to be removed and changed. I'm rather sure that pylons on LN11 were taken from LN19 or LN17 and switched.

Early September 2014 without pylons but with engines awaiting attachment:

Engines were installed late September 2014:

Rolled out from the EMC to flightline on 22nd October 2014. It's pretty shame that nobody catched it from front with GEnx-1B engines visible.
Plane was scheduled for delivery in late December, but that slipped to April 2015.

Early November moved to BayAW of the EMC (adapted as paint hangar) for re-paint in all white livery:

Moved on the flightline, 1st December:

Then rock'n'roll started. Moved again to EMC:

And later to flightline, EMC, paint hangar, flightline and so on. But in February it completed initial fueling, some ground test and after some work with frame's tail done it was ready to fly.

Taxi test 18th February 2015:

And finally, after 5 years and 1 month since roll out from FAL, 15 months of re-work/change incorporation and 4 months of pre-flight preparations it get in the air 19th February 2015 as first "terrible teen", first re-engined Boeing 787 and first frame from very early build 788 block since B1 of LN7 ZA100 JA803A at July 2012.
It will be delivered to Korean Air in April 2015, 5 years and 3 months after roll out from FAL.

I wonder how much time they need to re-work these frames outside of the EMC. Delivery scheduled for August 2015, probably to Air Austral.

I think you mean "Terrible Teens". These would be the early production aircraft that were not delivered for at least 4 years after production. They are LN10 - LN19 plus LN22.

This spreadsheet shows the undelivered aircraft (LN1-LN5 were used for the test program):

Terrible teens are LN10-LN19 frames + LN22.
In fact, whole LN7-LN19 production block are "terrible teens", these frames are indentical in matter of weight and needed re-work amount and time. LN7-LN9 were delivered to ANA in 2011-2012, when rest frames were NTU by original customers (but it looks like LAN will take up LN10 and LN16 sometime in 2017). LN22 is NTU by ANA as well, so it was signed as "terrible teen" too, but it is from 2nd production frames batch, with highter MTOW and smaller overweight.

But the story is much deeper. Boeing wanted to delay delivery of these frames, because they need 12 months of time for re-work. When 787 has been certified, Boeing already produced many more frames and wanted to start re-work of later builds to speed up delivery process. If they started from LN10-LN19, then EMC would be occupied by 10 frames during 2 years. In the same time Boeing delivered 40 later builds instead 10.
Early build's customers get better frames, but later and still faster than waiting for terrible teens re-work to be completed, that why they dropped them.

LN255 ZA819 N802AN 3rd 788 for American just departed on B1 flight:

Matt Cawby reports that LN272 ZB128 9V-OJB 2nd 789 for Scoot is scheduled for B1 flight today, APU is running but no flightplan filled yet - probably will try tomorrow.
