BOE1 was ferried back to BFI from the Palmdale today. Per "All Things 787", will go to a unknown Japan Museum after all the test equipment is removed.

Hi Woody, I believe "All Things 787" said it was an unknown museum in Japan. Love your pictures

You are correct - I was trying to be funny. Point being I think it should stay in the US.

Woodys I believe Boeing should have sent Ln/2 to Japan instead. Anyway I wonder if an announcement regarding the teens could be made at the Paris Airshow/Le Bourget next month.

Rollout? That only applies to the Final Assembly process. These planes obviously already have been rolled out.

In regards for delivery of these planes:
LN10 - ZD003 - May 2017
LN12 - ZD004 - June 2016
LN13 - ZD005 - August 2016
LN14 - ZD006 - July 2016
LN16 - ZD007 - July 2016
LN18 - ZD008 - March 2017

Etihad now has three complete or nearly complete 789s on the ground? When are they going to accept delivery

Per "All things 787" speadsheet, none of them have even had their B1flight yet, so it will be a while.

Some of these delivery dates have been floating around for a long time. Now that there finally appears to be a customer for them, Boeing may try to accelerate the delivery. Especially with the surge line closing down early, Boeing may use that space to do some of the rework and move it from the EMC. Just speculating.

I agree. ZA001 should have stayed in the USA. One of the other test frames certainly deserves to be displayed in Japan.

My source in Boeing tells me in no way will the surge line be used for the re-work. They are scheduled to retrofit it for the 777x development.

Could be a problem for Etihad then... they have 787 flights (AUH-BNE) scheduled to start from June 1 and they won't have the airframes for it.

They may have to substitute a 77W at this rate.

A6-BLD Etihad is scheduled for a B1 today. Performed only taxi tests and will fly later if weather improves. Currently foggy at the airport.

It looks like LN133 ZB002 ZK-NZD (former N789FT 2nd 789 test frame) completed re-work and was moved to the flightline.

Absolutely not. The entire 40-24 building will be re-incorporated for the 777X project starting in 2016. Boeing is not affecting the 777 Classic line until they're ready to make the migration over around 2019. The entire 40-24 building will be the LRIP 777X line from 2016 on. The teens delivery dates are recently set by Boeing (which you'll notice it's different from Uresh).

Who knows! Rework will be in the future. Once it's moved into the EMC, it'll be worked on. Right now the priority for the early teens is the AUX planes.
