Correct, but it won't be flying to YYZ right off the hook. They are going to be directed in Asian and American markets.

First 787 will be flying to Chicago. Next airplanes will be flying to Newark/NYC, Beijing. In 2013 LOT will start flying to Tokio-Narita, and probably next one China direction.
All B767 flights will be takeover by 787.

No, by the end of the first quarter of 2013, so probably March/April??

All of LOT's 767s will be replaced by 787s by April 2013. From then on the airline will see additional 787s added to the fleet, to a total of 8. After that additional 6 options may be converted into orders.

Therefore, we may see up to 14 787s in LOTs fleet by 2015-2016 or so.

YYZ will most likely be the last destination serviced by the 767s though. Expansion into the Asian market is priority for LOT now.

Looking at the 787 backlog I don't think, even if they would covert all their options right now that they can have all 6 extra 787s in their fleet by 2016.

The 8th B787 will fly to Poland in 2015, so there is no chance for 6 extra airplanes in 2016, and now there is no need for it. I think this is a option for years 2016-2020, not earlier.

Boeing to showcase Dreamliner in Manchester

13th April 2012

Boeing 787 Dreamliner

BOEING has announced that it is to showcase its new 787 Dreamliner plane in Manchester later this month.

The US-based company has announced the sixth leg of a tour to show off the new plane, which includes stops at six cities - Manchester, London, Oslo, Taranto in Italy, Washington DC, Dallas and St Louis. The Dreamliner will visit Manchester Airport on April 23.

Larry Loftis, vice president and general manager of Boeing's 787 program, said: "The Dream Tour has provided us with a great platform to show customers, partners, government officials and other stakeholders just what the team has achieved with the 787."

Andrew Harrison, chief operating officer of Manchester Airports Group, said: "The Boeing 787 Dreamliner has been long awaited at this airport.

"It is an aircraft that is able to fly long distances with excellent fuel economy, so we are naturally delighted that Boeing has recognised the strategic importance that Manchester Airport will play in the roll-out of this special aircraft but we are also keen to show the scope it will provide to the wider region in the development of long haul services.

"I’m sure I won't be the only one watching it land for the first time on North West soil and it will receive a warm Manchester welcome."

More new 787 routes have been announced, now more routes for Qatar Airways and some extra domestic routes for ANA.

Qatar Airways to Serve Atlanta, Chicago as 787 Deliveries Begin

Qatar Airways Ltd. plans to start flights to Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and Detroit within the next year, doubling its U.S. network, as the carrier begins receiving Boeing Co. (BA) 787 Dreamliners.

A daily New York service will also be increased to three flights a day, with the addition of links via cities in Eastern and Western Europe.

~~~~~~
I decided to make a list of 787 routes that have been in some form officially announced so far. As in official announcement by the airliners or recent news articles. There are of course more rumored routes, but I haven't listed those. For example LOT only has announced the Chicago route, therefor it's in the list. But since it will also replace all the other 767 routes they will eventually be announced but there not in my list yet. The announcement like the British Airways announcement that the 787 will be used on Asian routes are also not in the list.
If you have any corrections or additions, please post them.
Momo1435, thanks for your effort!
As I understand Houston - Auckland will be the longest non-stop route served by 787-8 totaling 7415 mi in range.
Boeing has delivered another 787 to ANA yesterday/today.
The delivery flight that is currently underway is special since it's the 1st time that the 787 is powered in part by sustainable biofuels. It's also the 1st transpacific flight using biofuels.
It's the 7th 787 for ANA and the 9th that has been delivered in total.
Next in line this month will be 2 more for JAL.
And with the approval of the government bail-out of Air India they should start to take delivery of their 1st 787s in the 2nd/3rd week of May.
As you can see in my list a few posts back no 787 to Korea have been announced yet.
The biggest chance that you will see one very soon is if ANA will announce Seoul with 1 of their "domestic" 787s.
Other airlines that could send their 787s to Seoul before KE gets theirs are Qatar, Air Canada and maybe Air India.
"The 787 flew with biofuel made mainly from used cooking oil and emitted an estimated 30 percent less CO2 emissions when compared to today's similarly-sized airplanes. "
I'm guessing it was a blend of Jet AND BioFuels? Otherwise, that a LOT of cooking oil This is awesome.
Is that true that the range of Boeing 787 is comparable to that of elder Boeing 747 and Boeing 777ER?
These are the ranges according to Boeings official factsheets:
787-8: 7,650 to 8,200 nautical miles (14,200 to 15,200 kilometers)
787-9: 8,000 to 8,500 nautical miles (14,800 to 15,750 kilometers)
747-400ER: 7,670 nautical miles (14,205 km)
777-300ER: 7,930 nautical miles (14,685 km)
The 787s range is just above the 747-400ER and the 777-300ER. The 777-200LR is still the Boeing 7*7 with the longest range at 9,395 nautical miles (17,395 km).
