FAA warns Boeing 787 pilots of flawed airspeed readings

Latest Update FAA warns Boeing 787 pilots of flawed airspeed readings

he US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a safety warning to pilots flying Boeing 787 aircraft to avoid sudden flight-control commands in case of inaccurate airspeed indications.FAA is also expecting to make an airworthiness directive in the early part of this month urging 787-8 and 787-9 flight operators to renew the flight manual with the warning message.

Last month, Boeing issued airworthiness recommendation to 787 operators globe, and the FAA is now speeding-up to issue airworthiness directive, bypassing the usual rulemaking process to make operators embrace the change as early as possible, reports Flightglobal.

Singapore Airlines revealed that they are going to install brand new type of 'regional' business class seats on the 787-10 from 2018.

http://www.ausbt.com.au/singapore-ai...10-airbus-a350

No specifics are given in the article on what will be different about these new seats. But between the lines there's some info that might even be more interesting. It has been widely speculated in the media and on the internet that the 787-10s will all go to Scoot, just like the original 787-9 order from Singapore Airlines. From this news we can conclude that we will be able to see the 787 in SA's livery. I still do expect that some of the 30 787-10s on order will go to Scoot, both airlines will operate this type.

A regional 787-10 would imply _non_ lie flat ( flight too short) and more pitch than Premium Economy...so maybe a 40-44 inch pitch and 2 power and 6 USB slots per and a laptop shelf too rather than a 32-36 inch pitch and no laptop shelf ???

You will get a lot of arses on seats at that rate. A SG-HK shuttle service maybe and a Shanghai shuttle too.
