The previous unidentified order for 2 787 from early November was for 2 787-9s.
One of these 2 orders is probably by LOT Polish Airlines, but I'm still trying to sqeeze info from them.

My history with the 787 sucks. My plane from Frankfurt to Doha should have been a 787-8. But the plane was too small (?) so they switched it to a A330-200.

Now i will fly to HK. A340-600 and 777-300ER. Old school planes. I want to fly with a 787
I think i will see a 787-10 in person before i fly with a 787.
But the 787-10 should be the most beautiful plane from the series.

Thanks for the picture. It shows Hainan between Xiamen and AA.
How did the Hainan get past Xiamen in the line?

NYC787's current table says:
LN512 Xiamen Pos 6
LN514 Hainan No position Pre-flight
LN517 AA Pos 5
LN519 AA Pos 4
LN521 China Pos 3
LN525 Korean Pos 2

I guess LN528 (-10) is staging in Pos 1

They can move it outside to holding area while they move the line. Half way through FAL the planes do a 180 and exit near where they start.

Seeing as it is evidently snowing in Seattle Woody...does cold weather affect the paint shop operations when it arrives and how much of a backlog could this cause or are they flown out to be painted elsewhere further south???

No impact on paint schedule at all. Royal Jordanian livery is so complex with the gold, it takes 2 1/2 weeks to paint. So it make sense to perform the B1 before hand.

Also incase people hadn't heard. Boeing chose not to renew the paint contract with their contractor at Portland (PDX). The paint contractor is laying off everyone. A new paint contractor will be taking over the painting duties at PDX starting Feb 1st.

Not just a French company, but a French company from Blagnac, the city where Toulouse airport is located where Airbus has their factories.

But nevermind, it's not jobs leaving the US, it's just a change of contractor which will be using the same facilities in Portland. The 200 jobs will be replaced by 200 new American jobs, they will just be working for a French company.
Considering Trumps opinions about unions it might not be something that he is too worried about. Boeing is not moving production to France...

Part of the reason Boeing terminated the contract and went with this new contractor is the vote to unionize the painters. Boeing is not a big fan on unions.

QANTAS TO FLY NON-STOP PERTH TO LONDON

Qantas is set to add to its list of aviation firsts, with the national carrier confirming it will operate non-stop flights from Perth to London using the 787-9 Dreamliner.

The 14,498 kilometre service will be the first regular passenger service to directly link Australia with Europe when it begins in March 2018.

Seats on the Perth-London flights will go on sale in April 2017 for the first services in March 2018. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners used on the route will carry 236 passengers across Business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins.

– The 14,498km flight will take approximately 17 hours (slightly more or less depending on winds).
– When it launches, is expected to be the third-longest passenger flight in the world.
– Will be the longest Boeing Dreamliner flight in the world.
– The first regular passenger service from Australia to Europe
