They have stripped this frame of all doors, windows, control surfaces, and most of the cockpit for use in other teens that went under re-work recently. It would be to cost prohibitive to re-work this frame into an airworthy frame.

It gives Boeing a way to understand how composite airframes are going to be recycled at their end of life.

Boeing confirmed Singapore Airlines intent to buy 19 more 787-10s.

http://boeing.mediaroom.com/2017-02-...-9s-19-787-10s

When firmed up Singapore Airlines will have 49 787-10s on order. It's very likely that some of these orders will be transferred to Scoot.

I would suspect that is the case. So far all the 787's they have on order have been slide to Scoot. Their Chief Pilot at Scoot told me that Singapore intended to move them over to Scoot and use the A350 on the SIA verses the 787.

Singapore Airlines will operate the 787-10, they even revealed the product they are going to install. So not all 787s will go to Scoot, they will most likely will get some. This new order is also flexible, it can be freely converted to other versions of the 787. If they want to have more 787-8s and /or 787-9s for Scoot instead of the 787-10 it will not be a problem.

I wonder if with this new order they will also allocate some to NokScoot. Even though it was reported earlier that NokScoot had to source their own new aircraft it could now have changed with this new order. Especially since nothing was announced after 2015 when NokScoot said to look at new aircraft to replace their former SIA and then Scoot 777s.

With the white, at least they will be able to see where the deicing fluid goes. Probably tough on the green paint.

Attention any spotters in Charleston...the first 787-10 should roll out of the paint hangar on February 16th. If anyone gets a picture I'll put it up on my blog and of course the photographer gets full credit.

Good luck on that. I'm sure media or Boeing will take pictures. Bit there is no where to spot near the Boeing side to get a clear shot.

True unless you stop on the side of the road and get pics of flightline through the fence I suppose.
