Jakarta seems to be emerging pretty well..

few years ago.. it doesn't seem to have a defined skyline.. nowadays.. it's becoming visible.

I think Mumbai is amongst the top emerging skylines. There are so many projects in the pipeline, that the Mumbai skyline will be catapulted from basically nothing to the global top ten in just a few years.

Miami went from basically nothing to having the third largest skyline in the U.S. after New York and Chicago, and it's still growing, so who knows.

Errr -

emerge

ɪˈməːdʒ/Submit
verb
gerund or present participle: emerging
1.
move out of or away from something and become visible.

-

Mumbai and Seoul already have skylines. They're just getting bigger.

I think some American cities such as Miami and San Francisco are beginning to 'reemerge' as prominent world class skylines. Let's not forget about Toronto, either.

Mumbai and Seoul(debatable) skylines are barely talked about/recognized/noticed when it comes to skyline
I think they fit perfectly in this topic.
so is Jakarta as I mentioned..

Toronto.. not really, it already has been identified as one of the best..
Miami and San Francisco, already had their time. "re emerge" is a good way to describe it.. but the topic is not about that.

I think any skyline that wasn't never/barely noticed a decade ago.. but now is getting a second look is what we are looking for.

Mexico City maybe in about 10-15 years it will have a recognising skyline toping in America's top 5

In the middle of the skyline in this pic, there is a 452m proposal to be approved soon

In South East Asia,

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is emerging from nothing in the Late 2000s

Same with Hanoi

Vietnam is catching up with the rest of South East Asia. Definitely EMERGING

Vietnamese Skylines are probably one of the youngest in the world.

Is that pollution or heat distortion in Hanoi? Why is it so hazy?

Mostly Asian cities for sure. Jakarta, Mumbai, mid-size Chinese cities and Moscow+London in Europe.
