Sydney has a great skyline but the city needs 3 or 4 300m+ buildings...

I agree Sydney needs to build taller buildings which would take its skyline to the next level.

well, it is a fantastic-looking city, no doubt about that... but if it was any other city, with that skyline, no one would be getting excited, as it's not nearly as impressive as what others have to offer!

The Sydney skyline is MUCH bigger than people think it is. It is actually quite massive. It always looks smaller in pictures because it curves in real life. It is also much taller than people say it is too. It has 8 building over 200m and has the second tallest building in Australia which was the tallest until only recently. It is hard to capture but i found some photos which show the magnitude of it. This does not even include Nth Sydney as the skyline extends of the harbor bridge in reality.

It has the 2nd tallest building in Australia?

1. Q1 (GC)
2. Eureka (MEL)
3. 120 Collins Street (MEL)
4. 101 Collins Street (MEL)
5. Rialto Towers (MEL)
6. Central Park (PER)
7. City Square (PER)
=8. Soul (GC)
=8. Soelil (BNE)
=8. Citigroup Centre (SYD)

that would be equal 8th

technically, it's not a building - it's a structure. thus not classified amongst other 'buildings'.

I really don't like the Westfield Tower in Sydney (former AMP)... it screams the 70's and not in a good way!!!

Look forward to the day when Sydney builds 2 or 3 300m+ towers and they overtake the skyline! Sydney needs height!!!
