Better remove the very large pictures. They are no use and take too long to load. Or resize and reupload.

According to your posts, it seems projects in Munich have improved a little

Oh Munich, Munich... Why are you building such ugly buildings now, even though you have preserved your city center the best of Germany's big four (Berlin, Hamburg,Munich, Cologne)? Berlin and Hamburg have some really nice projects going on, that actually make their cities prettier every year, not uglier... Cologne however is already completely lost...

Just a guess, but maybe because Munich is more conservative than other big German cities?

To be honest - I think the opposite is quite the case. Its Germanys High-Tech Center, propably the most important location for researching institutes and universities. Munich is probably way more progessive and open minded how to create the future than the other two big German cities, which claim to be the creative German hotspot. In fact neither Berlin nor Hamburg are able to connect creativity and success to a "real deal" like Munich.

However it is strange to see, how Munich currently fails to find it own unique and pleasant way of architecture and city development and got stucked in the 90ies.

Thank you for creating the München project thread CosmoFuture, it was long due!

However, you need to give your sources credit. Please add the project's official websites to your posts at least, so it's traceable where the material is coming from.
And if existant, you should also add links to the project threads at the Munich forum or across SSC.

Munich totally lacks of iconic projects. Even they are 90 % buttugly and meaningless. Just imagine Munich population grows at > 1.5 % p.a. and is one of the most richest places on that planet. Its economy is almost unbeaten.

Oh boy... This thread is going to be a very sad "high"light..
As to the projects presented - not only are they butt-ugly, a couple of those you posted have already been scraped, are just a vague idea, or have been significantly altered to be even uglier (Schwabinger Tor for example). It's just so sad... Thanks Mr. Kronawitter!

Munich: The 100% clean electricity city?

Beer, BMW, and one of the world's best soccer teams, Bayern Munich: Germany's third largest city has a lot going for it. Not content with sporting, culinary and automotive excellence, Munich is also leading the way when it comes to sustainability.

By 2020, the EU hopes that 20 percent of energy will come from renewable sources such as wind, solar and biomass. In Munich, authorities have gone one step further, targeting a 100 percent clean electricity supply by 2025, which would make the city a world leader in sustainability.
