I will try to get the English version. Unfortunately, English version is not uploaded to the YouTube official channel very often.

Will translate soon.

Avance NAICM - Noviembre 2017

Todas las fotos son del 22 de Noviembre.

Parte 1: Lado Tierra

- - Edificio Terminal - -

I've got two questions:
1. When is the opening date for this airport?
2. What will happen with the old one?

Sorry, but its the first time I see this thread and the project looks good...

1. Opening date as of today is still October 20th, 2020. However it will probably be delayed by a couple of months.

2. The older airport will close permanently on the same day the new one opens.

No plans are set yet. Probably it will end up being redeveloped into a mixed use district.

Yes, could be. If they pushed back for opening date. Subject to change. It will happens.

No, I think old MEX airports will remain open for ULCC & LCC. I think the non - Skyteam alliance will stay at old MEX airports. They won't move to new airports. It will free up the congestion & slot restrictions. It will ease the slots at old MEX airports.

It was already confirmed that the actual airport will shut down when the new one starts operations in 2020, which btw will absorb ALL the airlines including low-costs and ultra low costs.

Anyway, the actual airport has reached the top of its useful life. Your proposed scenario won't happen, and also, is not practical by a myriad of reasons.
