Looking at these latest photos, looks like you're right when comparing the middle photo to the side and aerial views

I guess time will tell - we'll just see how it rises over time now

All current approved expansion models only show 2, the third appeared in one render showing the Jabal Khandama expansion

but as far as we know, this has not been approved, so for the moment there is only 2 approved on current expansion.

first of all, in Saudi we dont call our Syrian brothers as refugees, as they are our guests.
and just to make things clear, Saudi have opened the door to more than 1.7 million Syrian (how many Syrian refugees in EU or U.S?)
moreover, Saudi have made a special work permits regulation for the Syrians and excluded them from all conditions to work in Saudi.
and not to forget that all Syrians were approved to participate in public education system and the Saudi Universities ......for FREE.

On the other hand, instead of crying and accusing Saudi with what you said, try to blame the countries which caused this tragic and inhuman situation ether by participating in the conflict directly by military forces (Russia?) or by sectarian militias (Iran, Hezbollah and other militias?) and the Assad regime before any one, and U.S by their weak situation in order to win the nuclear deal with Iran.
not to forget the other terrorist groups supported by AL-Assad just to keep the conflict going on and on.

In Saudi we do care about our brothers and friends, and we don't need somebody to come and teach us what to do or not.
Have a good day

Looking at the new pictures I finally now know where the towers actually stand. Looks like it won't be long until it's taller than the immediate surroundings though and then it will be mistakenly be clear anyways

OT:
Rody, you really don't need to defend your country. let the people, who turn this into an off-topic debate be and let's turn back to the building

The Minaret is not a Mosque, it is part of the expansion of the Holy Mosque in Makkah. A Minaret is just the tall tower like structure you see with most Mosques.

This information isn't really much as compared to what we already knew about this project.

Personally, I'd like some solid confirmation on these minarets.

Currently, The tallest minaret, at 210 metres (689 ft) is located at the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, Morocco. So, When (and if) these minarets are built as planned, they will be the tallest in the world.

new york apparantly had the money to build even more skyscrapers so why dont they have money for refugees?? Its all about buisiness.. all those international visitors provide the money for the mosque just like all the businessmen in new york profide for the skyscrapers. its not about not having money to help its about making money.
