NOOO!!! Not green! Would be a lovely building otherwise, but it looks mossy and gross now.

Is this the first green cladded skyscraper? I can't think of any other. It is really cool and different

I like it, just wish they would bring the grass facade closer to ground level.

Across the road a 200+ blue/white apartment tower is already under construction. North of the CBD is about to go crazy with towers.

Then we will have Southbank, Eastern part of the CBD, Western part of the CBD and just North of the CBD as the main clusters for talls

I can't decide whether I really really like this design or its the ugliest tower I've ever laid eyes on. There is no middle ground, but it strikes me as both extremes.

Curious to see how it goes, Want to see the glass facade in the eve or morning, would be quite striking.

Been a little slow to start but demlolition scaffolding going up this evening so this is well and truly underway now.

Will be only Melbourne's third 750ft+ skyscraper U/C since the boom of 1991 - but in a year from now very likely to be at least 4 more ..

Demo now in full swing ..

If it does indeed turn out as green as the renders then yes the Giant Seaweed would be an appropriate name ! Though I think it's Asian developers and investors would prefer it as the Giant Jade stick ..

I like both the design and color just fine. In that skyline shot it reminds me a bit like the building is shifting from an earthquake or wiggling like jello.

Promo video for the tower - picking up on the whole green theme of Melbourne's parks and surrounding countryside.
