The white couch is actually not leather but made of seat belt material according to JSweas.

Wow! All I can say is I'm thoroughly impressed. To think I was spouting garbage a few days ago about this gorgeous lobby. Damn I can't wait to move in. Thanks for the wonderful pics guys. You all rock!

Unit Pics

We did our walkthrough today and loved just about everything. Regarding the lobby, I think everything looks great except for the yellow-orange chairs...not a big fan of those.

As for our unit, we were very happy and had only minor issues. The pictures don't really do it justice but hope you all enjoy!

Question for Nsullivan

Hey,

Your unit looks fantastic! Tell us about your finish selection! What are the counter....carioca gold granite? What about your bathrooms? I can tell the calcutta marble but what about your cabinet/counter selections? I Love your kitchen!

Thanks Streetervillerealtor! Yes, the counter in the kitchen is carioca gold. The cabinets in the kitchen and master bath are silver grey matte. I wasn't so sure about this when we picked our selections but we had a designer come with us who suggested it and I love it and am so happy we went with it. The counter in the master is the lagos blue limestone. The second bath has feather grey cabinets. The floor is timber stone and the counter solid surface oyster. These were both upgrades but I am not so happy about the floor. (I wish we would have had limestone on the floor in hindsight. I saw another unit that had this and it look amazing). The timber stone doesn't look like the sample but that's ok b/c I'm happy with everything else.

Who's the blond in the last photo? Is that you Nicole? If so, are you married?

newtochicago, the floors are dark oak.

lucky left, that's Jennifer Sweas. Didn't you pick your selections/upgrades with her or did you have Louise? I think she might be single!

Thanks for all your pix! Couple questions- has anyone figured out where they will store their toiletries in the bathroom? Last I checked, there were no drawers and no medicine cabinet! Also, the concrete walls in the 05 unit looked unfinished, with holes in them. Are they going to be polished or something? Thanks,
D

Storage/Concrete

Hello DeaconBlue,

The walls in the units will not be polished. I have seen CMK buildings (Contemporaine) with them though. I was a bit shocked at first but after walking around the unit for a bit the walls really grew on me. As for storage, there will be room to place a tall storage cabinet in the corner of the master bath....you could easily fit some five or six drawer cabinet in the space. I am still on the hunt for something.

Concrete walls

Hi Deacon,

The walls are very rough with holes in them. It is a bit shocking at first but they do grow on you. All of the CMK buildings (630 N Franklin, 201 Grand, 1720 S Michigan, etc) have the more polished smooth concrete walls and ceilings. It is nice that 600 N Fairbanks stands out and is different. I have heard that some buyers will be slip coating the wall and painting it...basically making it into a normal dry wall. It was a bit too outrageous for them.

Question for Fairbanks

Hi Fairbanks,

Did you get a fully integrated dishwasher? Is this what is to the right of your stove?

Closets

For those of you who've been in the units, what do the master bedroom closets look like? Am I going to be calling in California Closets or are they already set up pretty well?

Closets

One of the pics that I posted is of the master bedroom closet. They are not outfitted with a lot of hardware....I would call California Closets or count on getting crafty at the Container Store!

Dishwasher

Hello N. Sullivan,

I did not get an integrated dishwasher the pics are deceiving....

I am closing tomorrow on the unit! I am excited to move-in.

The plasmas are installed in the lobby, they were not on as of Sunday but they will make quite a statement!
I will take more pics when I get settled on thursday and will try to get some photos of the one bedroom units!

lobby blinds

Has anyone seen the lobby blinds? Personally, I'm not sure why they even have blinds there.

there is a gap between the ceiling in the lobby and the floor above it. before the blinds were in (in the lobby) you could see the gap and the wires, etc. so at least now the blinds are covering that... trust me, this looks a lot better!

lobby blinds

I have seen them and they are absolutely necessary. It was super hot in there around 11am with the sun blazing it, like a greenhouse. Horrendously hot.
