Construction and sales update

Hello to all with interest in this new building!

I called the sales center recently ( I have a two bedroom under contract in the building) and they stated that ALL original two bedrooms are now sold out. They have combined units with two bedrooms available. The sales person stated that only 35 units in the building remain. I walked by the site this weekend and they have bricked up the windows in the adjacent building and have make progress with earth removal. The alley is now blocked to traffice as well. So all seems on target so far with the project.

Has anyone gone through the design selection process? If so, I'd like to get your thoughts on how the whole process is being run.

Design Process

Yes, I have been through the selection process. I feel the finishes are nice and appropriate for the building, however, it seems that they are a bit unorganized. I notice that now there are new selections that were not there when I made my choices. In addition, they really had no suggestions as far as installing extra lighting, etc. I was pretty focused on what I wanted, but someone who had no idea on what they desired would have been hard pressed to come up with choices with the "design team". They stated they could not do a wine fridge in the kitchen. In addition, changing the second bathtub to a frameless shower went from a guesstimate of $2,000 to $5,000 when they got back to me with the price. I have a NW corner two bedroom in the building and would appreciate your thoughts as well.
Thanks.

I too felt the selection process was unorganized and very restrictive. I didn't understand why you could only see the selections during your appointment. It would have been nice to view the selections in a showroom ahead of time because viewing the selections in person is much different than viewing them online. And then all the prices were so secretive. Does it hurt to have prices available for everyone to see?

I didn't find the design team, or more like design person, was very helpful either. She did a good job of explaining the differences between selections, but calling her the "design team" is a bit deceptive. She really made no recommendations. I heard that many people decided to go with what is shown in the sales center, and I would guess that's partly because people didn't have a chance to really see what else was available and were pressured to make decisions on the spot.

All in all, I was extremely disappointed with this process, especially since everything else has been classy and well-organized.
