They look great, keep it coming! The smaller the city, the better coz I think I already have a very good idea of how "famous" skylines look like lol.

Sichuan province, just north of Chongqing. It's not in rich areas, but not in the abjective poverty either.

There are really nothing special in this city, and just like hundreds of other Chinese city. wait, it is the

I didn't scan the pictures. They are from a magzine called Shanghai Pictorial, you can clearly see the magzine name stamped on some pictures, at the bottom. I don't know which year or which issue of that magzine.

Hmm, 300,000 to 500,000 inhabitants, maybe more now, because cities are growing very fast in China, but we still tend to call them small cities. Any ppl below 300,000 we usually call them towns.

You are right. China has 1.3 billion people to feed. The primary task is to give people enough food to eat and a place to live and then consider to improve life like add some details and individulize something. With a average GDP a little bit over $1000, what do you expect? Everyone lives in Palace? China earned this solely by hard work, never invaded and cololinzed other countries. You will see more and more "boxes" coming up. If you don't like them, easy, just don't click the Chinese city posts. Why bother to bore your eyes by click the Chinese cities?

city 8: Tianjin should get an skyline at same level of Shanghai and Guangzhou, however it lives under the long shadow of Beijing since 1949, when Beijing became the capital. But Tianjin's skyline is growing faster now
