It's kind of surprising how Pantages has little, if any, impact on the skyline.

A good argument for disagreeable façadism. (Façadism, crap as it is, is still a better opinion, sadly, then what is often done-- further, there is a degree of cheap out control-- if you're going to build a cheeaped out pre-cast and glass building in any event, you might as well stick it on to some building that was already there-- and it is a bit of a NIMBY control, "Save our not-at -all -noteworthy and fairly unremarkable buildings!"

What are you talking about? These two buildings replaced a parking lot. There was no building to work with.

True. But he was talking about two different types of disagreeable facadicism, I believe: keeping a classic facade in place, or in the case of Pantages, making the facade look completely different from anything else on the towers...
