Shouldn't the fence around the site be taller

And when I look at it.. it really seems that if the Chicago Spire had been built.. it would've been a really thin building, no?

Chicago market is so slow lately for that kind of expensive apartments that I have a hard time thinking it is going to happen. NYC - yes it is very possible. Even Florida. But Chicago... It is a great city, but it is not in a best shape lately

Nothing shows better how long the site is idle than the size of the trees growing there now. If they don't start building quickly, they might qualify for protection . To sad the spire was never built.

Don't believe that nonsense for a second my friend. Chicago is doing great!

#1 in the country in fact. 2 years in a row! Take a look at this: https://chicago.curbed.com/2017/5/1/...ons-investment

The hole you see is not the outer diameter, as there are supports buried around the ring.

This is brilliant, 100 times better than that gimmicky Spire that everyone seems to love but i loathed. Everything about this new tower screams Chicago. I can only dream about buildings like this being built in my town of Melbourne Aus.

I hope finally a megatall gets built at that site. I liked the spire though. From a design perspective, but most of all from the concept of a residential megatall.

I never really liked the spire that much to be honest. This is way better IMO.

I don't know why this thread is open and active.

This never was nor will be an active proposal.

Interesting but won't happen. Chicago needs to fix their inner city crime problems and reclad Willis Tower first.
