hey, Im a stucco guy. I have been a stucco sub-contractor in Calgary Alberta for many years,(an oil rich corprate city in Canada). I am wondering if there is a demand for a person of my skilled trade in your great city? I would love to live up there. I am a first nations Canadian with strong work ethics. It would be a great thing to be a part of building this great city. I have many examples of my workmanship. In adition i am a cement swimming pool finisher. I am asking because I see plenty of stucco going on up there.

That city looks just unreal, and getting better every day. truly the greatest vision of any city on the planet. It will go down in history as one of mans greatest ocompleshments imo.

Thats a steal even for 2.5 million its a good deal, my naiborhood in metro detroit is average and houses cost about 500,000 -1,000,000 for a modest 3,000sq ft, 1/2 acre house not even on a lake just in a burb.
How much are the islands of the world? alot more right?

the cheapest houses on palm jumeirah should be about 600.000 at the moment.

I think the same thing happened to me. I just want to drool because I want one of those villas and a condo in Al Burj when it's done.

I can imagine a nice first class flight from New York to Dubai on Emirates A380 first class while driving my Maserati Quattroporte out to my villa, then relaxing to a nice steak and fries dinner and then going out to some hot clubs in Dubai.

Does Dubai have a nice club scene? Going out to meet girls and socialize with people is so much fun. .....yeah, I'm getting off topic but I just had to know.

For that kind of money, I would rather buy a bigger house in the Carribbean or Hawaii, on a REAL beach with REAL sand, and with more privacy (those houses on the island look very clumped together).

The houses are far nicer than iexpected.

they are friggin mansions!

Nice job painting out the people.
I dont know how Dubais like, but do the women wear those clothes that cover up their whole body? I wouldnt think Dubai has the hottest girls i would go to Brazil or Sweden for that.

Thanks for posting the excellent photo's. To think that all of this is being built on a man made island just blows my mind. And this is the smallest of the Palm Islands. Can't wait to see what the whole project looks like when it's done!

Well, if you're out on the street then I presume so, don't women generally cover themselves with clothes when out in public anyway?

What a vulgar display of wealth, unsustainability and environmental degradation. Where is the space to walk your dog in the park? Oh thats right you will have to drive to the park. Where is the local corner shop? Oh thats right you have to drive to the supermarket and buy mass produced products, full of chemical preservatives, enhancers, colourings and flavourings.

Where are the birds and animals in this man made dump? Do these people have any privacy? doesnt look like it. You do realise that this whole island and the homes on it will be underwater in about 50 years time. What goes around comes around I guess they sold the oil which created the carbon dioxide which melted the ice caps and now floods their homes.

Cheers at least I know my private little mansion with its beautiful gardens, and mature trees near the top of a mountain should be realtively OK compared to these guys who are going to lose everything.
