Eureka reaches 900ft & Q1 reaches 800ft!!

Australia's next "worlds tallest apartment towers" are progressing well and are 3/4 completed.

Melbournes Eureka has now reached lev83 or 276m/900ft tall.(85 in box)
only 21m/6floors to go.

Surfers Paradise Q1 Tower has topped out at 240m/800ft but still has 40m glass fin and enormous spire to be added.

Thats turning out to be one hell of a nice building. We have a similar one like that being built in Toronto's downtown core.

Both towers will be Australia's tallest and neither of them are in Sydney. Goes to show the level of activity in other Australian cities.

Sydney is still King of the skyscrapers. It will reach 800 completed this year and thats not counting North Sydney's 100 and surrounding metro area.. Melbourne has just over half that at 432 completed and that includes Metro with only 300 in CBD.
Other Australian city;s are quite small in comparison with the amount of skyscrapers which range from 100- 300 completed.

Both of these beautiful skyscrapers will also probably be there city's tallest skyscraper for a very long time. Both well over 300m. These dont come along all the time in Australia.Very unique time .its funny how some people think when they get a 300m skyscraper and they will now get dozens.
this it guys. lap it up. For next decade atleast most will be lucky to break 200m barrier, which is still something to be proud of.

Anyway Barsby, Sydney might just have one more card up its sleeve. Its only early stages yet, but we may just get that big one we are after.

Enough with the Sydney vs AUS-just as quickly as Sydney built 800 so will other cities, its only inevitable.

I wouldnt rule out Sydney yet Grollo, they have a tendency to be quite, then destroy us all in one big belt-hence Dawes Point-some 330 metres towers there.

GPT's antenna hehehehehe that has a big impact on the skyline, most people don't know it has one it is so thin (could have included Bourke Place for Melbourne as well:-)

Sydney Tower is not a skyscraper hehehe

I think the first pic in this thread is a cityscape easily the equal of Sydney and it's getting bigger day by day :-)
