Indeed! It would be wonderful to see Mexico City finally get its first supertall!

Wow, Latin America is catching up! First the Costanera Center in Chile, then 2 supertalls in Bogota are in prep, then Brazil's first supertall, and finally this!

I forgot Argentina's proposal too, but IDK if it actually will be built.

A handsome fat-boy in the middle of the skinny Reforma's buildings.

Cheers for México City!!

I must admit I'm impressed with Mexico City's progress. A new highspeed rail, new airport and now this!

And the return of F1 Grand Prix to Mexico City after 23 years absence, next November 1st 2015. There's a nice project to rebuilt the current racetrack.

Well, Paseo de la Reforma has at least three fountains that I can think of; but I reckon you mean the the most well known, which is the "Diana Cazadora".

Well, the first rendering depicts a panoramic of Mexico City as seen from the Chapultepec Castle, which can be seen in the picture below, as well as the "Diana Cazadora" Fountain, that you probably mean.

All in all, this would be an amazing addition. However, this wouldn't be the only supertall rising in the Mexican Capital, for in the first quarter of next year, the renderings of a possible supertall - 70 stories plus - by Sir Norman Foster will be revealed; and coincidentally, said project will rise right next to the fountain I've talked about all post long.

Hope this helps.

Mexico City looks great. I assume that it's safe and that there are very few kidnappings and murders in these beautiful looking areas. Is that accurate?

yep compared to many latin american cities and contrary to what many people think Mexico city is still a relatively safe city. Reforma where this tower could be located is one of the safest areas in town with places like santa fe as it is very business and tourism orientated. source: i live there :P
