Yeah, maybe 'modernist' is a better word to use.

Although it's not just international style, there are Bauhaus, streamline, constructivist, Usonian, De Stijl, and other modernist styles in this thread.

^I just realized that only moderators can change thread titles after they are posted, so you can't change anything.

The international style refers to buildings from all modernist movements that share a few basic requirements like a geometrist approach (based especially on rectangularity but not only), vast plane surfaces, no ornament, open spaces etc. If you look at the architect names present in the exhibitions that developed the notion of international style, you will see there were names from many different movements: Le Corbusier, Gropius (Bauhaus), van der Rohe, Oud (De Stijl), Alvar Alto etc.

The first building in Macedonia that was built according the principles of the modern architecture - the Institute for social insurance of the workers, later repurposed into hospital. It was built in 1933-1934, and it was designed by the Croatian architect Drago Ibler.
