X BRACING STRUCTURE UMM? NOT IRREGULAR

it´s nice i was asking me if the irregular external structure is real , but i see that no, i see is an x bracing structure, but it doesn't keepout the great building that is going to be.

SI PUES LA ESTRUCTURA EN LOS RENDERS ERA IRREGULAR PERO AHORA VEO EN LAS FOTOS QUE ES UNA ESTRUCTURA NORMAL CON CRUCES DE ACERO.BUENO AUN ASI VA HA SER IMPACTANTE.

EN DISCOVERY DECIAN QUE COSTARIA 800 MILLONES DE DOLARES.

Checked again and I think it is both CCTV and TVCC for 850 million euro's.

One should also not forget the unique construction of the tower, the floor plans which are different for each floor and some logistic features that allow people to interact, which all accummulate to a higher building price.

Both of CCTV and TVCC are futuristic. However, the former is beautiful while the latter is not.

for 850 million euros, you get a Wonder worthy of an icon.

The mere attention is worth the investment, and let's not talk about what it's going to bring in the long run.

Mandarin Oriental to run Beijing hotel
22 May 2007
South China Morning Post

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is to manage a deluxe hotel in Beijing, marking the latest in a string of foreign hotel operators to enter the capital's competitive hospitality market.

The hotel, part of the capital's upcoming landmark China Central Television (CCTV) development in its Chaoyang district, is due to open in the middle of next year, in time for the Olympic Games.

The hotel will be the group's third property under development in the mainland after sites in Guangzhou and Hainan, operated under an undisclosed long-term management contract.

The Beijing property will comprise 203 guest rooms, 38 suites, a spa and six dining and cocktail venues.

Group chief executive Edouard Ettedgui said yesterday the Beijing hotel signalled the hotelier's latest efforts to establish a foothold in major business and leisure locations worldwide.

The new hotel will be housed in the Culture Centre, a 115,000-square-metre irregularly shaped tower boasting a theatre, recording studios and digital cinemas. The Culture Centre is the shorter of the CCTV complex's two towers. The other is the future CCTV headquarters, a trapezoid skyscraper with a glass façade.

UBS analyst Eric Wong said Mandarin would likely adopt an "an asset-light" strategy, establishing a presence in other gateway cities such as Shanghai by snapping up hotel management contracts.

He added that Mandarin aims to draw 30 per cent of its net earnings from hotel management in future compared with 10 per cent last year.

A Mandarin Oriental spokeswoman left open the possibility of adding another hotel in Beijing.

Top-end global hoteliers, including Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons and Langham, are vying to establish a presence in Beijing and Shanghai ahead of the Olympic Games.
