@Assemblage23:

As far as I know public access to this building wil be possible. The lowest floor on the connecting "bridge", has clear glass for people to look outside. It will have looking holes in the floor as well, to look down to the square beneath.

Apart from the ob-deck, part of the build will serve as a hotel. I think nobody will stop you if you want to go there have a drink.

I think you'll find the hotel is accross the road, in a building also by OMA. The CCTV will be purely HQ.

Hey guys,

I need some help, I chose Rem Koolhaas for my final investigation, specially Rem's CCTV Headquarters, my methodology is quite long, but an important part is to analyze architectural drawings of the building, someone could tell me where can I see them? or in which site I can get them?

I hope someone can help me, saludos!

You should get your hands on the book Content, AMOMA, Rem Koolhaas, Taschen, 2004.

This has loads of drawings and axonometrics describing the CCTV building.

It's already looks very NICE, but only if the glass would have been more translucent, it would be nicer aswell.

That's a very well reasoned arguement.

For my part it's the quintessential antithesis of "Form Follows Function". It ressemble nothing else and frankly I find it striking !! It's almost a pure object of beauty.

I still don't get how this whole structure doesn't collapse in itself, but then I'm not an architect though

Heavy steel structure helps, but in fact the towers lean towards each other, supporting each other.
