The best design ever for a 800m+ tower! The top structure also has no floor here and looks like at least 300m but it's integrated in a perfect design

I agree, we still don't have the tech to build 800m+ towers which would have the same width at the top as the base. Burj Khalifa is still the biggest achievement of mankind in terms of skyscrapers

I wonder what skyscrapers would look like in 2050?

It looks like it got way less setbacks then Burj Khalifa, and they are more inregulary.
I like it.
Great design.

But I think it would be better at 750m without the top part of the spire.
Would look then like a streched version of CTF Finance Center.

Just a rhetorical question for those who have used this forum for a while and have seen a couple Chinese supertall threads in their time... How many times is the render shown when the thread is created actually the final design that is actually built?

The render is obviously concept, and that makes any comment above regarding the design completely pointless, if not trollish

More than 'the tech' it's a matter of physics and economics primarily.

I actually believe we have the ability to build a goldin finance like tapered tower up to 800m and taller, but building it would just be too expensive and also since there is no building like this before it needs a lot of effort to do it. But I think with today's technology it is possible.

Not sure about that this is China mate there are lots of mega talls in proposal preparation and being built mode to not worry about the design

It looks like it is in the middle of nowhere. Hopefully it gets built with this height, but it might get scaled down to a more realistic size.

Looking at that second render, I think it's way too much of a rip of the Burj Dubai.

Yeah it's awful that people don't come up with top-of-the-line designs when they render mass studies/placeholders.

Should no building like another building, the world would have not much building. architecture constantly repeated. American building copy each other, its the same by european buildings. That is the nature of art and material. That is why every reproach of copy is philosophically meaningless.

America has partially copied the buildings that existed outside of america.

ideas can evolve independently without being copied

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Some of the best things came out of copies. I love copies, why not duplicate something that works great and even improve on it.
