LISBON | FPM 41 | 70m | 17 fl | U/C

FPM 41 (office building), the project includes a new square/plaza with trees.
Architects: Barbas Lopes
70m
17 fl

Site (google maps - street view)

Attempts to build highrises in this area of the city date back from the late 60's and early 70's. After 4 decades and many proposals (usually taller) that I will post soon, the City Council finally approved one project.

It should be at least 40-50 meters taller, looks ok I guess, nothing too extraordinary, a sober, elegant look... Considering the paranoia the municipal authorities have with high rises it's actually not bad at all, and I'm glad it was approved, but could have and should have been better

Has bit of a 1970s style vibe, with the bronze cladding and the furniture, but that's not a bad thing!
It's a change from the usual flat blue glass.

A bit taller than the Sheraton building and would be great. But it's not bad at all.

Yes. The ground floor and the main lobby also appear to be very elegant, in the render..

on the contrary, greece seems to be coming alive, at least it now has a government who actually seems to care for its people (too bad it arrived too late), unlike the clowns in our country who dont give a shit about its people. meanwhile in our country, all development will be dead for a veeery long time (many decades to come). i'm very surprised that a project like this is going to advance in portugal, but it's in the capital after all. as for the edp building; the electricity in portugal is amongst the highest priced in europe so it's no wonder that edp (with it's fabulous gains) decides to build a new headquarters. speaking of 'developments', come here to the south; all you'll see is trees, stones, abandoned land, old little houses and beaches. at best, the only construction you will see here; would be of a little doghouse in somebody's backyard.
