Why views matter

For the skyhigh.city magazine I put together a piece with ten views from my place, all the same, but with different weather conditions. The point is that yo never really can get bored of a view, especially when seasons and weather are involved. Here it is, enjoy!

What I liked most about the 15th floor South Beach apartment I used to have was being able to watch weather patterns move across the city. One morning I woke up to a perfectly clear day except for a single, very small thundercloud off in the distant southwest. I thought, "Wow! That is so far away it must be over Key West." I turned on The Weather Channel to pinpoint the location of the thundercloud. It wasn't over Key West. It was even farther away in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico. Except for a space shuttle launch, that is probably the farthest away I've been able to view anything.

I couldn't agree more Jan (same tower, same view).
Being both skyscraper and weather enthusiast, I like standing in the window or balcony and just watch.

when i was working in changzhou i could see changzhou modern media center outside my window, if there was not smog that is. Now back in germany looking out of the window makes me quite sad. I want my supertall back! Now I only have one 250m chimney to look at when driving to university every morning.

Jan, do you live in one of the Kollhoff-designed towers?

Every sunset is a new surprise. I love the combination of city lights and red skies.
