NEW YORK | 529 Broadway | Prep

The heap that occupied this site was the one eyesore amidst a sea of pre-War masterpieces.

The replacement is great.

This was designed by the same guy who designed the Plaza and the Dakota .

This stunner is just across the street.

A little south in LaFayette

Bonus shots of B'Way in SoHo

And B'Way in NoHo.

Cooper Union's main building where Abraham Lincoln, a Senator from Illinois, came to give a speech against slavery. The new condo certainly contrasts with the 170 year old structure.

The IBM Death Star is across the street to the north.

This amazing building is Across from Cooper Union on the east .

Contrast with the West Village

On the northwest outskirts of the Village [/IMG]

This is such a thoughtful and precious way to integrate materials and to make a building with ornamentation worth of respect, a real stunner. The surrounding is truly magnificent. Thanks to LondoniumLex for sharing the photos of the surrounding objects. The Fitzroy will be just as amazing and worth for all the respect from all real architecture lovers!

Maybe it's time to change the status, it still says Prep...

beautiful building, amazing integration of old and new. I especially like the boxes around the windows, and the exposed steel inside.
