More like too many residential tall buildings .... plus the presence of a huge chunk of people with zero consideration: From throwing cigarette butts from their balconies/windows to smoking shishas and light up barbecues on their balconies

How did they put out the fire at that level?

They fought it from the inside. Most of the fire was actually on the surface of the building anyway. They went up inside and attached hoses to the standpipes in the stair towers. It's the same method that FDNY was using to fight the fires in the twin towers before they collapsed!

Refuge floors might be good for such tall residential skyscrapers!

a few of them might have that feature(i know the Burj does),but,in this case,i dont really see how it would have helped too much,since the interiors had not really caught on fire

Maybe instead of standpipes they should just have bags of marshmallows with sticks.

Looks like the new siding they put out after the first fire was in the flame resistant as they thought it was!
