The Garden is divided by Ciliwung river and are connected with 3 bridges. The main gate are located in the south and is where most of the garden facilities are concentrated, such as ticket purchasing booth, Treub's laboratory, Nusa Indah Guesthouse, plant/souvernir shops, library and conservation building. The precinct east of Ciliwung was laid out in 1927 with facilities as the mosque, cafes, Herbarium, orchid section and Wisma Tamu guesthouse, being within vicinity of Astrid's avenue.

The garden have served the country as its center of agriculture and horticulture study, a legacy that lived on till today.
