DUBAI | Marina District Dubai | 300m+ | 984ft+ | ~68 fl | 200m+ | 656ft+ | ~48 fl | Pro

A new tower in Dubai Marina with an amazing design!, which is not located at the Tallest Block!
It will be a new free standing and dominating supertall in the skyline, which doesn't disappear behind the other towers like in the Tallest Block!
Also a good thing is, that they will make some greenery next to the tower! Finally a park in the Marina too!

Use: Residential + Commercial + Touristic (maybe an observation deck or sky restaurant?)

Very cool design!
I like the 3 skybridges and the twin tower design with different hights.
Would be a great building in Dubai Marina particulary to compensate the dominance of the tallest plot.
Great to see Dubai is back with new supertall projects also in the Marina area!

I am sure Marina Disctrict Dubai is not the real name ! The tower has not a name yet and the designer used this name on its website because they needed to write something. Maybe we could call this TWO TOWERS IN MARINA PROJECT or something better than "Marina District Dubai" !

It looks, well, okay-ish. The source says "Status: Design" so this is possibly not the final design. Interesting location btw.

Me too! It's really different than the other supertalls there.

Nice ...... but do we reallly need a thread for every design/renders architects (or students) puts out there?

At least wait till some developer announce their intentions to build something

We have threads for empty (or even occupied) plots in NYC which might become a supertall development in some years And let's not forget about the countless troll projects in eastern asia. There are tens of 500m+ projects that will (sadly) never see the light of day.
I agree that student's projects don't deserve their own thread, but what do we know about this one? It looks fairly professional and was released on the website of an actual architecture office. Doesn't sound like a student's project to me

To be fair the NYC proposals are the most realistic since it's one of the only places in the world where supertalls are built out of true necessity. I totally agree about the East Asian projects but sometimes Dubai proposals aren't too far off of those.

I've always said SSC needs a vision section

I'm curious. I look on Google earth and there is no space for this size of a build on the tallest block. Where are they going to fit this??
