I'm putting the Chame chame house here because Lina Bo Bardi was a modernist, but its look in a sense is more primitive than modern. Anyway I really like it very much. Too bad that as for the Johansen house above there are very few pictures of it.
Built in the sixties, demolished for some reason in the nineties.

This is a wonderful topic, but it would be even better if the architects were identified.
I'll get the ball rolling by saying that the Mummers' Theater/Oklahoma Theater Center was designed by John Johansen, and the Prentice Women's Hospital by Bertrand Goldberg.

Ralph Rapson, architect.

A fresh, interesting design in its day, but I'm not sure that it stood the test of time successfully.

It looks like a model built of cardboard and toothpicks.

It looked great in the 60s, but by the time it was demolished, it was altered beyond recognition. I like how despite being made of concrete, the structural forms were so thin.

Already another Brutalist structure on the chopping block in Baltimore - McKeldin Fountain, named after a Governor who opposed segregation, and it *the* signature gateway to the city. Plans are to replace the current fountain, grass and concrete with grass, concrete and a water feature, at the cost of $24.4 million.
