Rotterdam is amazing... I didn't know there were so many skyscrapers... the skyline is very impressive.

And the pictures are very cool... congratulations Sash.

Actually there are no skyscrapers, only highrises! But still, cool city and very peculiar for european standards!

however in Europe we use to call 'skyscraper' every building over 100 metres

in America, Asia and Oceania they use this classification because they've really lots of high buildings with different heights that reach 400-500 metres and over...

My opinion:

1) Moscow - London
2) Paris
3) Frankfurt
4) Rotterdam
5) Istambul
6) Milan - Warsaw
7) Vienna
8) Barcelona
9) Madrid

Group A:
Moscow, London, Paris, Frankfurt

Group B:
Rotterdam, Istambul, Milan, Warsaw

(with Rotterdam and Milan that can in the future try to enter the first group - Rotterdam with some new higher buildings, Milan with CityLife project now Under Construction)

Group C:
Vienna, Barcelona, Madrid

(I think Madrid can enter group B in the future)

warsaw heap currently building two (cosmopolitan, zlota44), three towers are under construction (warsaw spire, echo, plac uni). within 3y.o. are to start construction next 5 towers. Warsaw is really booming, and already now is better than skyline of Rotterdam is also Mailanu.
Group B
istambul
warsaw
rotterdam
milan

I link some city diagram in alphabetic order:

Barcelona

Frankfurt

Istanbul
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?cityID=749

London

Madrid
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?cityID=815

Milan
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?cityID=834

Moscow
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?cityID=14

Paris
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?cityID=2328 (Defense)
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?cityID=866 (Paris)

Rotterdam
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?cityID=897

Vienna
http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?cityID=983

Warsaw

Unfortunately they are really out of date.

I searched for other lists of city tallest buildings, but Wikipedia is incomplete and Emporis is much more out of date than Skyscrapercity diagrams.

milan and 'one of the cities' most urbanized in this tred, maybe that does not make it perfectly the idea of those buildings high enough surround the skyscrapers in its skyline that stand out, I'm sure if he had a waterfront spiccherebbe among the first places only grandeur, pultroppo those who do not 'ever does not realize it but I guarantee that there are ways that almost preclude the view of the sky perquanti buildings there are, in construction we have three iconic skyscrapers over several towers and various infrastructure more' a magnificent bridge, then milan and also 'booming, I would not say that it is overvalued, the quality' and uniqueness 'new skyscrapers and present' indisputable applies to evergreen Pirelli, the skyline I find it very good and in progress .... sorry for the sermon ..

Guys there is a discussion thread, this should be the photo thread

Anyways i agree with piterpan, the diagrams are useful for understanding the real size of a city's skyline. Skylines of dense cities, like Milan or Warsaw, sometimes lack on good vantage points, and from ground level the towers look shorter than they actually are, because they are surrounded by 8-10 storey buildings.

btw season greetings from Milan!!!

are you sure? have you really look to the skylines of the cities behind Milan? do you think that Barcelona has a better skyline? or Madrid and Vienna? it's position now it's right, behind Rotterdam but shares it with Warsaw.

Warsaw has a better disposition of Buildings for now, but quality is really lower....when I rate a skyline I also consider the quality of the buildings and the "wow factor"... in 2018 however you'll change definitively your opinion when CityLife will be completed. probably you don't know the Project, one of the best in Europe for sure.
