The boulevard to the right is Jianguomen dajie. It finally has some skyscrapers in close procimity to emphasize its importance in the area. If you follow it further westward (lower right corner of picture) you will eventually pass the Forbidden city (Gugong).

is this 'photo' real?... or just a photoshop?

we were in Beijing in late June and the pollution was so bad you couldn't see more than 1/2 mile... so bad at the great wall that when you look down you couldn't see the tourist bus you came in on...

You think photoshop can make the picture so "clear"?

Some days are good, some days are bad; I was just in Beijing yesterday (took the high-speed train, got there faster than I imagined) and the air quality was terrible, even worse than Tianjin's, usually it's the other way around, hopefully they'll clean it up soon, it is a necessity!

yes pollution is a major issue in BJ. thanks Olympics they make some efforts to clean the air in July and August. but the pollution problem will be a long time issue unless manufacturing is not the major industry in China (electricity generation, chemical production etc). hope BJ's air is better when it becomes more developed.

08-08-08 08:00 pm - and the Olympics are on!

Well the "lucky, wealth bringing" eight - no wonder, that WTC III is labelled to have 80 storeys. But is that true? By counting from the renders, I get less, but that's unprecise. In english Wikipedia, however, 74 floors and 4 underground floors are mentionned. Or are there some "unlucky" floors with 4 kept out of the counting?

edit: hey, our clock is one minute ahead

Wow, the cctv lighting pattern almost looks like a videogame, it's so good! CWTC is a bit more normal though.
