I am confused about the different designs. Which on the final one?

This area desperately needs some development as it is a focal point of the new south-eastern business district on both sides of the Spree, the so called Media-Spree. It has been so many years since the last new construction here while the other side of the river has been catching up.

First design is just an older and indefinite draft by the same architect I think...

Nice. The latter draft is aesthetically much more pleasing than the first one, which is way too 'noisy'.

They seem very boxy.

In a city with no highrise style, I´d not start to build them nect to the waterfront. Hinders view from behind and to the city from the waterfront.

From the waterfront there is nothing much to see in this direction. They aren't blocking anything I think the location is pretty well chosen because there already are some highrises alongside the Spree ... it would fit pretty nicely.

Furthermore this project is pretty alive. A lot of news regarding this can be seen on the website. Agromex already prepared the shore so that the construction materials can be shipped from the spree directly tho the site.
They also had a lot of test drilling and soil testing over the last months ...

This project is definitely not dead.

The "first" proposal is the exact same proposal.
But it was more about the urban development and about the heights and positioning of the towers. The final draft is just a more detailed version which shows more details concerning the facades.
