MELBOURNE | Freshwater Place Tower 4 | 280m | 70 fl | App

This proposal for Melbourne's Southbank has just been approved after a 16 month planning application process.

Images courtesy of http://urban.melbourne and it's contributors

The last image is meant to convey the architects inspiration for the base of the tower - mimicking that of a Ballroom Gown.

As it has just been approved no word yet of a completion timeline however it will be expected to sell well and move to construction some time in 2016.

I really like this one. Glad to hear that it's been approved, I hope to see this one get built.....too bad they couldn't have added another 30 meters

The proposed Crown Tower next door (just to upper left left in overhead render or upper right in the light blue drawing) will be 28m taller so close enough :-)

Boarding has already gone up onsite by developers M&L - a very positive sign they are keen to move forward quickly with this one ..

And some imagery from the M&L website as posted by Papa Riddlz

Still looks to be 273m above street and likely 280m to the top of the lift box.

Directly next door to 254m Prima/Pearl and on the same block as the proposed 320m+ One Queensbridge (aka Crown Melbourne).
