MADRID | Caleido | 181m | 594ft | U/C

PDF with projected images: http://www.madrid.es/UnidadesDescent...o%20Torres.pdf

It would be the tallest hospital in the world, with a lot difference with the actual tallest.

Nice one! Looks futuristic in that cool Blade Runner sort of way. Madrid definitely needs more than four skyscrapers!

Love the design, the junction of the tower and the atrium is just splendid. I hope it finally gets built.

Btw, OP should say "tallest" instead of "biggest", i think.

Hello! Madrid has a lot of skyscrapers, the problem is their ubication. Madrid does not have the urbanization plans of a normal city because the skyscrapers are placed "here, or here another ones there.." etc. I mean if all the skyscrapers from Madrid were placed in the same area, we would have a Frankfurt 2.0 or a London 2.0. Instead well, we have what we got. Which is not bad at all hehe. In Madrid also depends very much the perspective... But the best from the city is the historic architecture, and this means mid-low or low buildings.

If the entire "Operación Chamartín" (Chamartin Operation) sees the light one day... The skyline of Madrid would look like this (we don't even have to move the actual skyscrapers to a single zone! )

Regards!

If this is going true it would be amazing!!! Fits perfectly with the other 4 towers, and actually, if you view them from some perspectives it will add some connection to the "cluster"

So this proposal is offically cancelled?

International Convention Center

I'm happy with the new hospital skyscraper proposal, because it fits perfectly with the other four skyscrapers.

It has been cancelled for a while, after some time "on hold". I'm ok with the new one, if it keeps that design.

Although it's not a part of the original complex, I'd think that if built as rendered, the new hospital should be considered part of a renamed Cinco Torres Business Area.

Now that the International Convention Centre proposal has been scrapped officially, I wonder if there was any real need for such a building or why it (the ICC) was proposed. I also wonder how the new tower proposal is going to include a hospital (probably an existing hospital within Madrid relocating to the tower or establishing a new branch within it) or a completely new hospital being established.

This tower fits way better than that circle in the cluster. Besides, Madrid already has a circle(ish) tower.

Villa Mir sold today Torre Espacio for 558 million (one of the four towers). This was key to make this tower a reality sense Villa Mir Group would be building the 5th tower.

This project been cancelled and replaced with a smaller tower 181 m which will start in march.I think the hospital that is going to occupy part of this building was a deciding factor that cut the height of the previous project.

That is truly disappointing. Not just because of the height cut, but also because of the design downgrade.

This very location was probably the most emblematic for a new skyscraper. They really blew their chance.
